Mexican garage punk band Le Butcherettes were recently tabbed to pick a song to cover for the A.V. Club’s annual A.V. Undercover series, and the chose a pretty great one.
The trio – dressed in all-red ensembles – put quite the spin on Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” a single that took the world by storm last year. Frontwoman Teri Gender Bender thrashed at her eye-catching Squier Telecaster and menacingly sang the pop hit, giving it a new life as a punk performance piece.
