“This is for Conan, this next one, back home in L.A.,” said the Head and the Heart singer/guitarist Josiah Johnson.
That’s how he kicked off his band’s recent performance of “City of Angeles,” paying tribute to late-night television host Conan O’Brien during a live stream of a concert from Rough Trade Records in New York City.
After shouting out Los Angeles, Russell and the rest of the group launched into the breezy single from the Head and the Heart’s third album, Signs of Light.
The entire performance was streamed on O’Brien’s Team Coco web properties, and you can check that out here.
