Guitarist Demos the Deluxe Roadhouse Strat and Deluxe Nashville Tele

Written by on August 25, 2016

Neville Martin of Guitarist recently took a close look at two guitars from Fender’s new Deluxe line – the Deluxe Roadhouse Strat and Deluxe Nashville Tele.

After running through the upgraded features of these workhorses, Martin came away impressed.

Of the Deluxe Roadhouse Strat, Martin said, “It’s a very nice guitar. It does an awful lot for the money … Having been done the way it’s done, it’s really easy to use. There’s not loads of switches and ‘pull this’ and ‘pull that.’ You can get used to it in five minutes.

“These are serious upgrades from the models that came before, but are still very well-priced.”

The gear expert also liked the Deluxe Nashville Tele for its power and versatility.

“This is generally, I would say, a more powerful guitar than the Strat,” he explained. “It’s got that gutsy thing that Teles have.  Tele’s can be a brute, and this is a brute. It’s actually a great guitar. I like it very much.”
